We started our June Membership Meeting – the last of the Spring/summer season – with a Cook-Out. Chuck Shipman kept the food coming as members and guests arrived for our special meeting.

In the meeting we heard from Don and John on their achievements in completing their aircraft build, and from who, as the designated Test Pilot undertook the initial flights.
Brian detailed the Fly-Outs that will continue through the summer, with the Grimes 1920′s Air Show being our destination this Saturday (9th).
Tom Luce’s life was celebrated by John and Larry, he will be missed.
We took a look at photo’s from our recent Fly-Out to York.
Sandy presented the Chapter finances – we’re in good shape!
But the highlight of the evening was the announcement of our 2012 Fred Kacena Flight Training Scholarship awardee’s:

Congratulations to each. The Scholarship funds of $1,500 each has beed placed with the New Garden Flight Connection training school. EAA240 “navigators’ have been assigned to each awardee for mentorship and encouragement during this initial year of flight training.
We had a memorable and fun meeting, thanks to all who contributed. Our meetings restart in September but there is lots happening between now and then. Check the Events page at our the web site and monitor your email for upcoming activities.
